From Distant Ways is a collaboration with talented Scottish ambient artist Keys for Eclipse. KfE's unique style can be heard painted beautifully across the foundations of "Carina", "Surge", and "Afterthought", while "Disintegration Patterns" and "IOstream" present his sound in all its glory: Glacial melodies reaching delicately through reserved distortion and echoing soundscapes. This collaboration has resulted in a project that demands to be listened to all the way through, for as each artist builds off the other the album begins to coalesce like drops of dew on a pane of glass.

koan is named after and inspired by the paradoxical riddles found in Zen Buddhism. A koan is structured to demonstrate inability of logical reasoning to provoke enlightenment. This album is a meditation on a verse associated with the koan "Nansen's Flower Bush" from the Blue Cliff Record, and is .foundation's third release.

Seeing, hearing, being aware, knowing—these are not one by one.

Mountains and rivers are as in a mirror, they are not seen.

aeternum is the successor to mountain ambient and .foundation's sophomore release.

This album is a reflection on infinite cycles: life & death, on & off, yin & yang. It explores these themes through an intimate and imperfect human perspective that is represented by the texture & distortion of each track.

aeternum is the result of a notable addition to the foundation process started in mountain ambient: a Waldorf Blofeld synthesizer. The FM synthesis capabilities of the Blofeld allowed for a deep dive into the themes of the album at the most fundamental level, and the result is a distinct sound that can be heard especially in foundation 11. This was the first track of the album, and was made entirely with the Blofeld.

mountain ambient is the project that started it all. It began with foundation I, an experimentation pulled from another project that quickly grew into a series of other "foundations". Each one is rich, textured, and meditative: a warm sonic universe that explores itself as much as it offers ideas to the listener. Sometimes a foundation was used to create something new, earning itself a name. Other times it was left as it is. The process of making this album took on a life of its own, and .foundation was born.
